Sound Design for VR with Martín Hernández

Supervising Sound Editor Martín Hernández used RX to help him "develop sounds that didn't exist before" in Alejandro G. Iñárritu's virtual reality (VR) film, Flesh and Sand.

Supervising Sound Editor Martín Hernández used RX to help him "develop sounds that didn't exist before" in Alejandro G. Iñárritu's virtual reality (VR) film, Flesh and Sand. Follow along with Hernández as he uses RX to peel back layers of sound in a scene, bring out the musical quality in noise, and create immersive sound design for a virtual experience.

Based on accounts from Central American and Mexican refugees, Iñárritu’s VR installation invites individuals to be immersed in the virtual experience of immigrants and refugees.
