How MGMT Used VocalSynth on ‘Little Dark Age’

Ben Goldwasser from MGMT talks about his love for iZotope’s VocalSynth, which was used extensively on their new album, 'Little Dark Age'.

Every Friday, we’re sharing a newly released song or album from one of our favorite artists and how they used an iZotope product on it.

This week features Ben Goldwasser, keyboardist and singer of rock band MGMT, who used VocalSynth heavily on their new album Little Dark Age (released February 9, 2018 on Columbia).

"What I love about Vocalsynth is that it can be used as more of a subtle enhancing or spatializing effect when reverb or modulation effects can take up too much space. It occupies the in-between spaces where you can't tell what effect you're hearing. Really cool!"
