RX 11 Advanced Release Notes

Version 11.2.0 released September 20, 2024

Improvements and Updates:

  • Added: Windows HiDPI support (high resolution monitors) for the RX app and plugins
    • Note for Windows Ableton Live users on 4k monitors: To display RX 11 plugins in HiDPI, right-click on each RX 11 plugin in the plugin list and uncheck the “Auto-Scale Plug-In Window” setting. After doing this for all RX 11 plugins, you must save and re-open the session (or re-instantiate the plugins) for the change to take effect

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed: RX plugin window steals keyboard focus from Nuendo
  • Fixed: De-clip plugin parameters are not read by screen reader on Window
  • Fixed: Spectral Repair in Replace mode created holes in short selections
  • Fixed: Dialogue Isolate offline processing muffled the end of selection
  • Fixed: Crash in Loudness Optimize
  • Fixed: AAC files are decoded to 16 bits on Windows

Version 11.1.0 released June 6, 2024

Improvements and Updates:

  • Adds Spectral Editor ARA support in Studio One 6 (VST3) and Pro Tools (AAX). The AAX version will be available for use after an upcoming Pro Tools update.
  • Adds increased slider maximum to -5 for Loudness Control’s Integrated LKFS slider.
  • Adds EUCON page tables for control surface support of AAX plugins
  • Known Issue: In Studio One: After duplicating a clip edited with Spectral Editor, edits can disappear when you save & reopen the session. Missing edits can be recovered via the following steps:
  1. Remove any instances of duplicated clips.
  2. Save, close, reopen your project.
    1. We suggest using ‘Save As’ to a new project version in case you accidentally delete something you meant to keep from your original session.
  3. When reopened, the edits have returned.

As a workaround for this issue, use the Event FX Render button to commit your edits to a new audio file before you duplicate a clip or track.

Known Issue: In Music Rebalance ARA in Logic, the Bass & Percussion stems are swapped.

Known Issue: When using Streaming Preview in Batch Processor, if you process input files of different sample rates or different channel counts in the same batch, the output audio will be glitchy. To get around this, when using Streaming Preview, only Batch Process input files of the same sample rate or same channel count per batch.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed crash when stem splitting or processing mono files with Music Rebalance in the App and AudioSuite
  • Fixed unexpected audio timing shift when using Dialogue Contour
  • Fixed crash when opening the non-ARA version of Music Rebalance AU
  • Fixed De-Hum settings rendered with incorrect settings in Spectral Editor ARA AU
  • Fixed function+return key command in Dialogue Isolate which was advancing the frequency cutoff handles instead of opening inline edit box
  • Fixed Compare mode for Dialogue Contour now displays correct pitch curve previews instead of being doubly offset by the current parameter settings
  • Fixed Dialogue Isolate module controls were available during render
  • Dialogue Isolate “Best/Offline” mode now displays a warning message the first time it’s selected in a realtime plugin as a reminder to use the realtime mode for playback.
