Brings high-quality audio processing tools to popular video editing platform
Cambridge, MA (December 8, 2008) – iZotope, Inc., a leading innovator in audio signal processing technology, has licensed audio plug-ins and DSP algorithms to Grass Valley for its new EDIUS 5 nonlinear editing platform. The software includes a third-party bundle of plug-ins designed to help video professionals create high-definition content.
The included iZotope tools bring high-end, easy to use audio processing to the EDIUS video editing environment and enable users with limited audio experience to produce professional quality results. VocalEnhance™ provides automatic reduction of sibilance (loud 's' sounds), plosives (popped 'p' sounds), low rumble and mic handling noise. Automatic Gain Compensation (AGC) helps compensate for changes in audio levels in speech recordings. A wide selection of audio mastering plug-ins help customers refine audio tracks and deliver full, professional sounding soundtracks and voiceovers. Additional plug-ins like chorus, delay and flanger are included for creating special audio effects.
“iZotope’s high-quality audio effects, and refining and sweetening tools are an excellent addition to EDIUS 5,” said Mark Narveson, Director of International Product Marketing for Desktop and Enterprise Solutions for Grass Valley, a division within Thomson. “iZotope tools like Automatic Gain Compensation, VocalEnhance and AudioRestore make it possible for our users to get professional sounding audio in their video projects quickly and easily.”
Powered by iZotope audio plug-ins bundled with EDIUS 5 include Automatic Gain Compensation (AGC), VocalEnhance™, AudioRestore™, Analog Delay, Chorus & Flanger, Convolution Reverb, Graphic EQ, Mastering EQ, Mastering Limiter, Mastering Reverb, Multi-Band Compressor, Parametric EQ, Simple Mastering, and Single-Band Dynamics.
